Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background The world’s population is ageing: every country experiencing growth in both the size and proportion older people. Common health states age mainly include cardiovascular disease. To ensure that our system ready to face this demographic shift, we investigated native post-contrast T1 mapping as a quantitative method appraise its clinical potential Purpose This article aimed provide reference values for quantification expansion extracellular matrix Methods We retrospectively selected subjects ranged from 86 101 years old underwent contrast cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR). All were imaged on 1.5 T system. measurements performed with Modified Look Lockers Inversion (MOLLI) recovery sequence. Regions interest (ROI) drawn left ventricle blood measurement interventricular septum. used data obtained before after injection. also measured volume function ventricles. Rho di Spearman was correlations. Results analysed 29 patients (mean 88.58±3.13 old). Mean value pool (T1bp) 1647.43±107.66 357.18±63.94 contrast. septum (T1s) 1012.86±38.41 488.68±69.29 Left (LV) EDVI 48.11±15.29 ml/m2 ESVI 16.49±8.59 ml/m2, LV ejection fraction (EF) stroke (SV) 66.38±9.65 % 52.39±18.84 ml respectively. Right (RV) 46.44±13.19 16.97±5.93 63.46±8.65 49.29±18.63 A significant negative correlation found between T1s (r=-0.405 p = 0.015). Positive correlations volumes. Conclusions study shows ageing.

T1 Mapping in Athletes
Cardiac adaptation to high-intensity exercise is well recognized and often termed the athlete’s heart. The characteristic features of athlete’s heart are increased left ventricular (LV) volume, increased LV wall thickness and mass, resting bradycardia, and ECG repolarization abnormalities. These changes are particularly associated with endurance training causing eccentric LV hypertrophy, wherea...

Fro Ge He Sie infl La Ph Ma OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to prospectively investigate the diagnostic and prognostic impact of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) T1 mapping and validate it against left ventricular biopsies. BACKGROUND Extracellular volume (ECV) expansion is a key feature of heart failure. CMR T1 mapping has been developed as a noninvasive technique to estimate ECV; how...
متن کاملTough Ageing: A Consequence of Population Ageing in Rural Areas (A Study of Rural Areas of Badreh County, Ilam, Iran)
Extended Abstract Introduction: As the United Nations has considered Population ageing as one of the most significant trends and social transformations in the 21st century, many countries, including Iran, are subject to experience the phenomenon due to the increasing share of older persons in the population. Therefore, the country must prepare to surmount the problems arising from the status q...
متن کاملT1 mapping in daily CMR practice
Background Dual T1 mapping allows for a comprehensive assessment of myocardial tissue by combining detection of edema in the native scan and quantification of extracellular volume (ECV) after administration of Gadolinium. Recent studies proved the diagnostic value of T1 mapping in different pathologies; the aim of this study was, to evaluate the practicability and robustness of T1 mapping in as...
